How do I actually learn the Times Tables with this programme?

You can start from the beginning and do ALL the steps, OR
You pick the Times Tables you want to learn
Watch the video and say that Times Tables out loud for a total of 30 minutes per day
You can watch the 10 minute video (3 times) or watch the 30 minute video once
Write that Times Tables 3 times a day (the more times you write it, the better)
Do the 3 practise sheets for that Times Tables daily

How do I make sure the programme gets results?

THE PROGRAMME WILL ONLY WORK IF YOU SAY THE TIMES TABLES YOU ARE LEARNING OUT LOUD FOR 30 MINUTES EACH DAY FOR A MINIMUM OF 7 DAYS OR AS MANY DAYS AS NEEDED
YOU MUST SAY THEM IN A LOUD VOICE AT THE SAME TIME AS ALISON
YOU MUST BE LOOKING AT THE TIMES TABLES ON THE COMPUTER SCREEN OR ON THE SHEET

Are the Videos so fast I can't keep up?

The videos have been done at a pace that are easy to follow for everyone (young or old)
The speed is not important - it is the repetitive nature of the videos that are important

Is the programme for children or adults?

This programme is for both children and adults. It is for anyone who wishes to know their Times Tables off by heart.

What if I don't know the Times Tables I've been learning after 7 days?

The programme explains how you must get tested at the end of 7 days. If you still don’t know that particular Times Tables after you’ve been tested, you must do them for another 7 days. You repeat this action until you know them off by heart.

My child is almost 4 years old. Will they be able to learn their Times Tables using this programme?

Yes. If a young child sits in front of the SAY OUT LOUD videos and says them with Alison in a loud voice while watching the screen or Times Tables sheet, the repetitive nature of the teaching will ensure results.

How long will it take to learn ALL of these Times Tables off by heart?

This is not a short quick fix programme. It will take time and effort by the student to truly learn the Times Tables off by heart.
From Alison's observation and experience, each Times Tables should be learned over a period of 7 days and if needed, 2 weeks. So all the Times Tables can be learned in a minimum period of 12 weeks (which covers 1 to 12 Times Tables) or a maximum period of 24 weeks.
In rare instances, some children may need to do a particular Times Table for more than the 2 weeks until they learn them off by heart. So it can take anything from 7 days upward to learn any one Times Tables.

If my child already knows the 5 Times Tables, will they have to learn them still?

The important question here is - do they sort of know their 5 Times Tables OR do they know them off by heart?

You would need to test them on the 5 times tables in the way that is shown on the video. If they don’t know them INSTANTLY and OFF BY HEART, this would still need to be learned.
